On March 28, 2019, the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research – together with numerous facilities, organizations, schools, universities as well as companies throughout Germany – will welcome girl pupils from the 5th grade upwards to the annual Girls’Day.

Prof. Dr. Doris Vollmer and Dr. Maria D’Acunzi will be one of the four teams welcoming them at the institute. They will show the girls how exciting science can be with their self-cleaning surfaces experiments. The girls will carry out different experiments on the lotus effect and lubricant impregnated surfaces.
